Viola Davis

Viola Davis is a critically revered actress of film, television, and theater and has won rave reviews for her multitude of substantial and intriguingly diverse roles. Audiences across the United States and internationally have admired her for her work- including her celebrated, Oscar-nominated performances in The Help (2011), Doubt (2008), and her Oscar winning performance in Fences (2016). In 2015, Davis won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series for her work in ABC’s How To Get Away With Murder, making her the first black woman in history to take home the award. In addition to acting, Viola currently produces alongside her husband and producing partner, Julius Tennon, through their JuVee Productions banner. Together they have produced award-garnering productions across theater, television, and film.

Julius Tennon is an accomplished film, television, and theatre producer and actor with over thirty years of experience. A native of Austin, Texas, he began as both a thespian and a star linebacker. Julius was offered a full football scholarship to the University of Tulsa, where he became the very first African American to graduate from the theatre department. His notable screen credits include: The Simone Biles Story, Batman v. Superman, Get On Up, Fame, Friday Night Lights, and Dazed and Confused, and popular television shows such as Criminal Minds and Lonesome Dove, among many others. In 1999, Julius was blessed to meet the love of his life, Viola Davis, on the set of the CBS series City of Angels. They were married four years later. A couple in every sense of the word, their greatest joy comes from sharing both their life and art together. Julius and Viola have shared both the stage and screen, appearing in such notable projects as How to Get Away With Murder and Lila and Eve, the first film they also produced together.

Kaylon Hunt is a multidisciplinary creative producer, actor, writer, and executive passionate about crafting innovative stories that blend art, technology, and humanity. A graduate of USC’s School of Cinematic Arts, Kaylon’s work spans award-winning films and interactive media, including Sony’s The Woman King and TIME Magazine’s The March, among others. His projects have premiered at Sundance, Tribeca, and Comic-Con, and his contributions to the industry earned him recognition in Variety’s Hollywood New Leaders issue as “One to Watch.” As Vice President of JuVee Productions for nearly a decade, Kaylon has helped shape the company’s creative vision and team, expand its brand, and develop a diverse slate of projects across film, television, immersive, and digital media. A former math major and once voted “Mr. Quiet” in high school, Kaylon now channels his energy into crafting narratives that inspire connection and explore the complexities of the human experience. His storytelling journey began early, winning a national essay contest in 4th grade—a moment that sparked his lifelong passion for sharing stories that resonate.

Joining the JuVee team in 2016, Andrew Wang has EP’ed JuVee’s first scripted series The First Lady (Showtime) and unscripted series The Last Defense (ABC) and Hungry For Answers (MAX). He was previously Vice President of Scripted Television and Production for the cable network Bravo, where he was responsible for establishing the network as a home for scripted programming. While at Bravo, he developed Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce, the comedy Odd Mom Out and My So-Called Wife. Prior to joining Bravo, Wang previously held the role of Vice President of TV Development & Production for Alloy Entertainment where he was involved in developing and managing popular television series such as Gossip Girl, The Vampire Diaries, Pretty Little Liars and 666 Park Avenue. He was instrumental in bringing several successful hour long drama and half-hour comedy series to networks including NBC, ABC, The CW, ABC Family and Nickelodeon. Wang started his career at Storyline Entertainment where during his three years there, he oversaw scripted and non-fiction series under ABC Studios, as well as developed longform projects under Sony Television Pictures including ABC’s A Raisin In The Sun and E’s Wedding Wars. Wang graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.S. in Radio, Television and Film.

Melanie N. Clark is a creative entrepreneur and producer, who has worked at the intersection of art and commerce for over 30 years. Her creative and entrepreneurial mission is to generate transformative art, while forming resilient and impactful businesses that center the narratives and voices of innovative people worldwide.
Internationally educated, with a background in museum public programming (Smithsonian), concert/event production, and business development, Melanie brings a unique combination of artistic and business acumen to her work as a creative producer.
After an extensive trip to 5 countries in East Africa shooting short documentaries for an NGO on the continent, she joined Malcolm D. Lee (Girls Trip, The Best Man) as his producing partner, where she successfully developed, sold and produced several projects (film and television) under his Blackmaled Productions banner. She then went on to run She Ready Productions for Tiffany Haddish (Girls Trip, Card Counter), once again partnering with a variety of producers and studios to develop, sell and produce film and television projects.
She joined JuVee Productions in early 2023 as the Head of Film Production and Development, and has dedicated herself to furthering the company’s vision under a first-look deal at Amazon, and through the expansion of a unique slate of independent films.

Since joining the company in 2019, she has been integral to the expansion and growth of the l&l department, honing innovative projects that push the boundaries of traditional storytelling. With a passion for championing diverse perspectives, Madison is dedicated to shaping the future of entertainment by pioneering new and inventive ways to tell stories that utilize interactivity. She served as associate producer on JuVee’s Iago: The Green Eyed Monster, which premiered at Tribeca in 2022 and received a Webby Award. Holding a B.A. in Screenwriting and a minor in Virtual and Augmented Reality from Chapman University, Madison has been recognized as a featured exhibitionist and panelist at Infinity Festival and is an active member of the Children’s Media Association.

Veronique Davis previously worked at SK Global Entertainment, helping to establish the brand- new Television division. While there, Veronique supported the development of shows such as the scripted adaptations of the documentary Three Identical Strangers and Peace Adzo Medie's novel His Only Wife. Before joining SK Global, Veronique worked at Spectrum Originals, the scripted content division of Spectrum cable network. There, she again helped to establish the then fledgling division, while supporting the launch of such series as the Bad Boys spinoff LA’s Finest and the Mad About You reboot. Prior to Spectrum, Veronique started her career as an assistant for Brant and Toochis Rose at the Brant Rose Agency, and she credits her knowledge of the inner workings of the industry to her time working with the Roses. Veronique graduated with a B.A. in Film & Media Studies and Women’s, Gender & Sexuality Studies from Dartmouth College, was born and raised in Baldwin Hills Los Angeles, and currently resides in a small apartment near DTLA with her two cats, her giant dog and two of her best friends. Her favorite TV series is Fringe.

A lifelong Angeleno, Sophia Arnao has been writing and making films since the fifth grade. In 2022, she graduated from USC’s School of Cinematic Arts with a BFA in Writing for Screen and Television and a minor in Computer Programming. Her dark comedy script “Virgins for Satan” was produced as a USC thesis film and later premiered at the Cleveland International Film Festival. Prior to joining the JuVee team, Sophia held internships at Samuel Goldwyn Films, Seven Summits Pictures & Management, and The Operating Room. An avid musician, she plays viola in her community orchestra and was a former horn section leader in the Trojan Marching Band.
